Features used by the TASKUKIRJASTO application

Phone call: Phone calls are always initiated by the user from the contact view.

Location: Location is used in the contact view when showing libraries on the map.

Data connection: The application stores and fetches data from the Taskukirjasto service. User can also receive push notifications about friend loan requests. The information sent to the Taskukirjasto service is described below.

Camera: User is able to scan barcodes with the device's camera.

Information transferred and stored to the TASKUKIRJASTO service

In addition to the user's library id, no other personal information is stored to the service.

The service creates a unique identifier for each application to identify connections coming from any particular device.

A unique token is created for a logged in user based on a user identifier and unique application identifier. This unique token is used for authenticating the user within the service. The selected user interface language is stored to the service to deliver push notifications in the correct language.

Materials a logged in user has marked as favorites are stored to the service.

Feedbacks sent by a logged in user are stored to the service. In addition, the feedbacks are delivered from the service to Vantaa City Library which may, if necessary, forward them to a relevant recipient. User can explore sent feedbacks and their status with the application.

Friend loan requests sent by a logged in user are stored to the service. Friend loan requests are delivered to another application user who at the moment has borrowed the corresponding material. Friend loan request is removed from the service when it has been processed and closed by the users.

Loan and hold information of a logged in user are fetched from the HelMet system to the service to handle friend loans and to show loan and hold information to the user.

Push subscription information is stored to the service in order to deliver push notifications to the user's device.

The application collects anonymous analytics data which is delivered to the Vantaa City Library. Enisoft Ltd may use this data to investigate errors and improve the service.
